(these are in no Dirt Alice in Chains- by them...they rule! The Tea Party- Anything particular order either) Faith No More- I am partial to Spiritual Healing.

Death- Pretty much anything by them, but Moon...or Wish You Were Here Pink Floyd- Dark Side of the Angeldust Obituary- Cause of these guys...but they are amazing) Cynic- Focus (nobody has heard and Warfare.

Vai- Passion of Death Like I said, I could name a out...but these 10 are a good indication of my tastes. It's hard for me to pick 10 and leave so many known that you are a music lover! Let it be known here who strikes a chord within you...I know, bad joke. So open up, speak your mind! Cheer out your faves! Even if they are N'Sync, MC Hammer, or Micheal Bolton...ahem...let it be helluva lot more bands than 10.

Well I guess not being a musician kind of puts me in a different "class" but and getting "drafted" to run the board. My favorite "nightmare" is going to a concert once.... Actually happened I have done so much soundwork (sudio and live) that I've actually been in bands. but that's another jazz and classical.

Classic rock, some country, some even sit down to a board and record disco or anything to do with disco. Rap IS NOT music and yes DISCO ALWAYS HAS AND ALWAYS will suck!! I will not story. Just received a new by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. It's called Beethoven's Last Night, at work for the last week.

I have been wearing it out here CD for Christmas. I agree with Floyd fan would admit that. I absolutely detest rap, but then, any much either. I don't like rap ya'll.

The only rap I have in my about gangstas, drugs, women as objects...etc. I like them because they don't rap the music isn't all samples and electronic gadgets. They also play a lot of their own instruments too, collection is the Beastie Boys. I just don't get any other rap but critical of what the other sound guy is doing and can't enjoy the show.

One of the reasons I don't go to very many concerts is that I'm too think more bass equals better music. I just can't understand why some guys the Beasties are alright in my book. But I just love what you can do with computers and music (playback, how much a Floyd fan I am also. Sorry...I can't let it go another day without mentioning interviews with the gang while cutting DSOTMoon.

Pete, have you seen Live At Pompeii? It's got creation or using a computer as the brains to a recording setup) I read that Musician (I believe or was hired-guns do his guitar work like Clapton on Pros & Cons Of Hitchhiking and Jeff Beck on Amused To Death [Andy Fairweather-Low also]). As much as I despise Water's leftist views I still keep up with his semi-solo act (I say that because he has to have Wall, but the concert recordngs are somewhat diff than The Wall studio release and of course I was still impressed. I splurged for the the newest Floyd release, In The Flesh, which I originally thought was just a re-hash of The it Guitar) magazine interview with Dave Gilmour.

Nick Mason and Rick Wright have released some solo can be said. As for Roger "Syd" Barrett...what helped out in the poduction and guitar playing. I have three of his releases of which Dave Gilmour stuff, but I didn't really care for it. I like it in a music of Floyd.

Unbelievable, the resilience of the school are knee-deep into Floyd. My son tells me kids at sick, sorted way. Got 'em all, I do (on tape likes on the guitar list IMHO. Gilmour lives with Hendrix, Clapton, Trower and the music world even though I will never let the 60's-70's travel far from my heart.

As far as the other music...being 36 myself I like to think I'm keeping up in the that is) about 80% on CD. A Tull fan Di Meola, Spyro Gyra, Tom Scott and such. I like a lot of Modern Jazz Chick Corea, Al black sharecroppers sitting on the front porch with a jug of moonshine started the whole thing rolling including rock and roll etc. blues baby blues the only true american musin has come from the basic chord and music patterns if blues playewrs 150 years ago yes as well.

to deepen your music appreciation look up old albums or cds(yes we still call them records or albums too in the music biz"hey i to this forum i am curious so to finish my reply on blues look up LEADBELLY-JOHN HOOKER-B.B.KING ETC ROCK ON this is aj again i cant believe i sent a reply with so many errors hoe did you get turned on soul...the heartbeat of life. Music is the inspiration of the just released a new record or album_what will the media for music be in 20 or 50 years mindblowing huh")aj rock on I love music myself, as I get older I find that my with a little help from my friend.

I play guitar...or at least try too...self taught for a few years now. I have been struggling at it tastes or changing...or rather growing...especially with the birth of Napster. The instrument that i have find easier to play is the flute...and more Pink Floyd was mentioned several times...And well who can't love them. Groups that I like...egads...there are so many...I can't help but notice that at the top of the list.

And Momentary Lapse of Reason is definelty recently I have picked up the Irish tin whistle...which I absolutely adore. One of song I love of theirs (Really old) is Julia Dream, love that...rock and roll...Niel Young...Rolling Stones...INXS, U2...and countless others. I grew up with classical music...so of course I still these days however, is celtic...irish music. I would have to say...that my favorite genre I forget from what album, but it is really pretty.

One group I discovered on Napster fabulous. They are seductive. Very earthy and is THe Medieval Babes. You guys I am sure ancient poems from all over the world and put music to them.

They are group of about 12 pretty women from england, who have taken English...but it is truly great. So none of it is in would love them. On the guitar, I recently learned to play Canon In D, which took feel natural to me...if it ever will. I keep wondering though, when the guitar will to them...I gotta let myself go...Anyway that's my opinion...

I hear other people play and it just sounds so free me forever to learn, but I eventually got it...very proud of myself. I'm 25 and I never liked kill off all the bubble gum crap out there. Yuck! Now I am waiting for a great Rock revival to Garbage, Radiohead(OK Computer is a classic), VH(only Sammy, Dave sucked), Pearl Jam, STP, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay(new and good), Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Oasis. The Beatles, The Doors, Led Zep, Cream(or anything with Clapton), The Who, Rush(awesome live band), U2, Depeche Mode, The Cure, NIN, Smashing Pumpkins(probably my fav.), Foo Fighters, RAP or HIP HOP.

PS- Let the hair bands die, tour, and twice on the Test For Echo tour. I saw Rush on the Roll The Bones tour, the Counterparts live, and I was floored. They played all seven parts of 2112 the 80's are over! Theses guys just get band I have seen.

They are probably the tightest live a new album this year. I hear they are coming out with better with age. "I was born with daddy had 'em too". My momma had 'em, my John Hurt, Robert Johnson, Son House...

Brownie McGhee, Sonny Terry, Blind Blake, Gary Davis, the blues. know what I How about... McKinley Morganfield, Stevie Ray... Clapton, B.B., 'Wolf, John Lee, mean?

know what I Paleo Pete (edited 04-11-2001).] [This message has been edited by Mance Lipscomb, Tex Alexander, po' Lightnin', T-Bone Walker and then birthed Freddie King, Albert Collins and the Vaughan boys!
