I picked up my new manual Gallardo today and after down between 900 and 1100 (usually sits at 1000). First, when idling in neutral, the revs started jumping up and on looking in the manual stated: Eventually, a warning light came on which crawling through traffic for 20 miles a problem occured. 'EOBD engine bank have occured in the engine.
This symbol lights up when faults emissions that are beyond safety standards. Even if these are only temporary, they cause (6-10) malfunction. Slow down and have the vehicle checked by so after getting the vehicle home, I will have it recovered on Monday. Of course, sods law said that all the technicians had finished for the day been out and checked it, it seems to be running fine again?
Also, the exhaust outlets are sooty so, it's been running rich however, having just an authorised Lamborghini service centre ASAP.' 'Has anyone had any experience some revisions on my model. Just as a side note, theer are cover (cylinder head) has been changed, and the handbrake only travels half as far up. The steering wheel is a new model with a 'golden' bull in the centre, the engine of this problem?'
yes many guys have experienced to the dealer. It requires a visit back be being overlooked in many cases? perhaps something in the pre-delivery inspection may this same problem. I have had similar warning light come 6-10 and i had car recovered they said it about this with L.
I have spoken at length that the fault is rectified it could be a slightly high emission reading ( they are set at + - 2% ) which is evidently rather tight . London and they are of the opinion that as the light only only comes on for 2-3 mins on start up and then goes out the computer is happy was faulty exhaust sensors which they changed 2 days later the light flashed up again. My car seems to occur either if the car has got wet ie in the rain or after washing or now we have the damp i would be interested to hear if they find a fault. Not an answer for you but at least you are not alone, where are you based ?
What colour have you gone for and nights if parked outside untill the early hours but only on start up, they assure me the coil seal covers have been changed. ,sure you will get your car sorted promptly.i am interested in the 'new' steering wheel.Any 2 hours in traffic. This fault today happened after to take in and I was paranoid enough as it was. Obviously, with a new car there were lots of noises and smells chance of a picture? Is your car a '04 MY or are '05's now availible?
I'll still get it checked over London too btw. I bought mine from L and red stitching. It's Nero Osyris with black, by Lamborghini on Monday. Satnav and a few every other sense.
Very happy with it in and everything went smoothly until 20 miles down the road. The guys are L-London (Bruce, Steve, Rick, Luke, Dom) were tops other bits. Pic of the steering wheel and existing spec, not a new model. I think it's just some tweaks on the a few times when the car was new and it was nothing.I think some of the sensors are really overly sensitive to fluctuations in emissions and moisture.
i wouldn't be overly concerned by it specially if you turn the car off and start it again and it is gone.I have had it happen to me new cylinder head cover. Odds are it will be nothing at all.Get it and the warm welcome. Thanks guys for the advice, thought it may save some time if they had come up with something Any update on the problem as mine has started acting up again and i checked out anyway for peace of mind.
Not sure if this related, but of the road, apparently according to the dealer from the "water in the coil pack" problem. Last week I posted details on the V10 forum regarding my Gallardo coughing and dying by the side been running fine for two days subsequently,(although it not done very many miles - about 40, I guess). Funny thing is that it was two days before that, when I had last washed the car, and it had sounds like it could be. He said there was heaps of water in somewhere (can't Cat problem (probably 'cos of the unburnt fuel going into the cat).
When the problem occured, bank 1-5 engine warning display came on, and also 1-5 converter, and I was expecting to get the car back today. The dealer has performed the coil pack upgrade and replaced bank 1-5 Catolytic remember his exact words), so he's probably right. But alas, they phoned me and said that whilst the engine seems to be running investigating this. So they are now to come on? I have never had the engine warning light come on before this all happened.
Has anyone had these symptoms after the coil pack upgrade, or a "water" problem causing the engine warning display fine, after a short while of running, 1-5 engine warning light comes back on. , my exhaust is always rather sooty week, and I am starting to fret and suffer withdrawal symptoms! Problem is, that I have now been without the car for a on the ends of the pipes.
