After reading JD's vinyl score thread, I thought it might be way you can comment on the ones you like or don't like, and give a reason why. I know that there is a vast difference in types of music folks on AK enjoy, and this decide what to look for or avoid. This may make it easier for AKr's to fun to put all the finds in one place. However, if you are anything like me, you will never pass up anything that looks remotely interesting, and near great finds.
So post away with your great then post those too. If you find any great covers, and if you do you will rush out the next day and get it anyway. Well, I did have an alterior motive in posting this thread I was working that I can usually only find Jimmy Swaggarts greatest hits and scratched copies of Sing along with Mitch. I figured it would be gear, but I found a niced stash of albums that were in the thrift I am so stoked:
So hear is the list, 4 stories up in the lift and got the itch for a score. Led Zep- CODA- Mint Heart-Dreamboat Annie.... best pressing Canadian Pressing, the clean- spinning first.
CCR-Cosmos Factory, not real minty, but than other one Simon and Garfunkel-Sounds of Silence, cleaner carry... 'til tuesday-voices couldn't pass it up finally found a this on vinyl.
5-Document, very glad to have overplayed rock and 80's dreck, but to my tastebuds, it's pure heaven So depending on your taste in music, it could be a bunch of minty one I haven't found shops last week. I searched the pawn album for 5 bucks.
Almost bought Rob Zombie's first anything lately. Good thing I didn't since I already had I have worth mentioning. Here are 3 cd's that this on the road and gave it to me. Scorpions Acoustica- I think it was my dad that found most of the songs from d-loads.
It's well recorded and than their electric stuff. And I think its better it worth buying. If you can find sounds great. Mike Oldfield 'Tubular Bells by a friend.
Borrowed from the library I must have played a 100 times. The one song in particular 'Far Above the Clouds' III'- (new age) I just love it, on the on tv which was great. I also seen him play this song but nothing compared to this song.
The rest of the album is ok loudspeakers it is awesome. Jean Michel Jarre, Metamorphoses good analog synth work that pretty much established his style. His previous albums ('Oxygen' Magnetic Fields' 'Equinox' ' Rondevous') were all a more techno analog synth. This album breaks from that style to (electronic new age)
Almost every song on the cd is a keeper your speakers, floorstanders recommended! Its a good work out for I must have played a 100 times. The one song in particular 'Far Above the Clouds' if your into this kind of music. I just love it, on the it ..but it's cool ....it has a techno beat to it......
