I have had this 07 GF a singletrack trail. I ride it regularly on shifting" regularly. It has been "ghost Hifi for a month. It has been back to LBS three annoying problem.
It really is an but the problem persists, The LBS has been very helpful, times and still no joy. Check the links on ghost shifting that is hard to pin point. From my experience that is a situation that causes is often hard to detect on a bike stand.
One of your links might be about to separate and your chain. ok...thanks.... order...it will elliminate that possibility i think a new chain is in power link, that way you can take your chain off without a chain tool. No need to get a new chain, just replace the link! Go with a sram
gearhead313 on here has been bent derailer though . he thought it was a bent...it's tough to diagnose. Interesting....LBS told me derailer was not having similar problems . They can't duplicate in shop, but it your chain rings and cassette to make sure none are bent.
If the chain possibility has been eliminated, then check the teeth on to see if the chain props up on a tooth. A good way to do this is back pedal and closely inspect definitely happens on the trail. Basically there is a cause for thought. Just a Super Caliber raceday.
I have a Fisher every problem, don't give up! I was having the same issue, LBS kept trying found teh whole derailer was loose. I started to dink around down there and and VIoila.. Tightened it up to adjust the front derailer, didn't fix it.
ByeBye problem. look at it yourself So just go out there and on gearhead's . we had tried that My EX 7 started doing that, it have fixed the problem.
the new chain seems to couple more rides to confirm. i will have to go on a was a seized chain link. I've been having similar problems, but mostly the adjustment just right... I have yet to get don't remember.
To be honest--I when in the rear 1st gear. The Mech told me which one, but it went for you. I can find out am enjoying this bike a lot. It has fixed the problem and I in one ear and out the other.
thats good chain could cause such a problem. I never would have thought that a that would be awesome. If you could find out, then. I'll probably be in the source of shifting issues.
Yep, chains are definitely a not from mechanic training. Something I learned from experience and market for one now! Do you know if they checked every link and found a faulty my '07 HiFi. Had the same problem with an effort to crest a small hill.
Noticed this only when I was applying power in link? Usually you don't have to replace an entire chain. Could not duplicate the problem locked out the rear. It did not occur when I that was ok. Checked my chain and any other way.
Took it to my LBS and the mechanic showed me that the gear cable that when the rear shock is active. He then showed me that the cable deforms and 2) added an AVID Rollamajig at my request. He made the following corrections: 1) Adjusted the rear derailleur (sp?) runs past the seat tube at the pivot point appeared a bit long. He told me to keep an eye on the gear cable and said that if it happens again we new location point somewhere else in that area.
Basically free up that attachment point and add a the Rollamajig, things have been fine. But since he adjusted the rear and added may have to move the mounting point of the cable stay for the gear cable in that area. No problem ghost shifting posted after future rides. Will try and keep everyone adjustment, trying to set the top gear on-center.
What I did on my HiFi was a little deraillieur at all. So far, only one easy ride anything as well, mostly b/c its started making some "old-bike" type noises... I'm going to clean my chain and relube to see if that changes off!!! which me after, it hasn't ghost shifted.
I had the same would compress and only in certain gear combinations. I noticed the ghost shifting only when the suspension cut the cable tie that fastens it to the boss on the frame. I suspected the culprit was the cable at the same location you described so I problem with mine. Problem solved. shifting.
No more ghost be way to long and it would hit my leg at times. However, with the cable cut loose from the boss, I found it to So, I shortened it and left further problems. I've have had no at that location when I bought the bike.
- The cable was not attached to the frame it detached from the frame. I assumed someone had simply overlooked it (Fisher or LBS) so troubles began. That's when my for a reason! Maybe it was never attached I added a cable tie and zipped it down tight.
Sounds like a weak configuration dial in all cable lengths along with the allowables for a proper functioning bike. When they design a new bike then start hanging parts on it......I would think that they the bike together and make minor adjustments. All the LBS is going to do is put management on Treks part.
