FireHTTP exists for one single reason — to enable webmasters to link without the referer header being sent.

All you have to do is prefix your link with http://firehttp.com/link/ and any users who click on the link will go directly to the site without inadvertently passing the referer header in the process to the target site.

The technology used is more than simple — it uses the venerable meta-refresh pragma.

302's don't work since most user-agents pass the referer to the target site when encountering a 302 forward.

This meta-refresh bouncer is certified Web 2.0

Prefix your link with http://firehttp.com/link/ so instead of linking to this, link to this.

Another option is to use the base64 feature to hide affiliate links and link destinations. Prefix the link with http://firehttp.com/64/ and then append the base64'ed url.
